Condolences to the Buys family✝️🙏❤️ . I originally met Gord in the lobby of the Calvin Library in the early 90's where he had a table promoting short-term missions for CRC . He was easy to talk to and he encouraged me to consider it, and I did. And then shortly later I signed up for a short-term summer mission in the Philippines .
Actually I didn't know I would be in the Philippines, I just signed up to be sent and it turned out to be the Philippines. Which was a great experience- very spiritually enriching and my first real formal opportunity to be an evangelist with a team
Since then I went on to become a teacher and then also seminary & to become a missionary and evangelist myself. Praise the Lord ✝️.
